Save Your Sanity! The Best Noise-Free, Non-Electric Toy Gift Guide

Tired of the constant noise? Yearning for toys without batteries, or blinking lights? Need gift ideas that will save your sanity this holiday season? Look no further! The only toy gift guide you will need.

Hey Friends,

So if you haven’t checked out my Holiday Hacks you really ought to. You might realize that you don’t always have to buy a tangible gift.

However, if this is one of the cases where you do feel like you need to buy a gift, don’t worry! I got you (and your sanity) covered!

The Basics

Before you start buying gifts for everyone on the list I want to make sure that you got your bases covered.

Ebates

If you haven’t already downloaded the Ebates* App go do it. Now. Or like yesterday. Seriously.

How does this app work? First, you download the app and pick which store you want to shop from. Second, you validate the link and continue through to the retail store. Third, make your purchase, and earn your cash back. So easy!

This app can save you SO much money online or in-store for stores you would buy things in any way. Just by buying things through a link provided in the app, you can save yourself up to 12% in cash back!!!

Who doesn’t want their shopping to pay for that extra holiday Latte?!

Amazon Prime

If you don’t have Amazon Prime already, I don’t know where you do your shopping! I love Amazon, anything you could possibly want right at your fingertips.

What I absolutely love about Amazon Prime is that it gets delivered to me right away. We’re talking about like the next day. There’s no wrestling kids into winter coats and hustling them into the car. No long holiday lines to wait in, or grumpy consumers to deal with. Just pure unadulterated next day front door delivery.

Totally worth it.

Alright, now that you’re receiving cash back for your purchases, and on top of the front door, next day delivery. Let’s get shopping!

 For Babies:

**

0-6 month, Natural Teether Toys

For young infants, who can’t really play, fun teether toys are a great option. Not only do they keep baby happy, they normally stay in babies mouth making them the closest thing to a noise-free option at this stage.

**

6-12 months, Stuffed Animals

Not only do stuffed animals provided comfort, help develop social skills, foster language development, and encourage compassion and empathy in children (Information found here), but developing infants love to play with them!
**

12-36 months, Activity Cube

Books are probably the first toy item thought of when thinking of noiseless toys. They are definitely worth a mention, not only because of the range of benefits provided to children but because of their versatility. For a while, my husband and his brother had a competition about who could give the noisiest toys to their nieces and nephews. I think having noisy toys in your own house makes a list like this even better! Here’s to quiet gifts. It’s a gift for mom!

I couldn’t have said it better myself! I think I’d try that competition in reverse. Maybe who can buy the most engaging noiseless toy!

There are some great gift ideas on this list. Hopefully mums and dads will get a bit of a break from the usual loud gadgets this Christmas. As a child I loved nothing more than playing with my dolls and teddies 🙂

Teddy Bears are a wonderful idea! Thanks for the suggestion! I personally LOVE the Vermont Teddy Bear Company. They claim to be the “world’s softest teddy” (They really are!) AND they have a lifetime guarantee!

This brings back memories! Great suggestions for people who want a break from electronics. Our children are grown but we don’t have grandchildren yet, so it will be a few years before we are buying toys again.
